Physical, life and earth science, weighted toward whatever the group gets curious about by Tuesday.

Are the experiments safe?

Yes, and the safety reasoning is taught rather than just enforced.

My child says science is boring.

That usually means it has been delivered as facts to memorize. Starting from a question the child actually has fixes it faster than anything else.

Science Summer Camp — Ellis Abel Learns STEM summer camp materials used in Cary, NC

What the week actually is

Science camp fails when it becomes a magic show — big reaction, loud noise, no idea why. Every demonstration here comes with a prediction written down first, so the child has something at stake before the lid comes off.

Day by day

Write the prediction down first
Run it and record what actually happened
Change one variable, only one
Argue the result against another team
Showcase: present the data, including the mess
