What the week actually is

Drone week teaches flight, but the real content is pre-flight discipline: checklists, airspace rules, battery math, and the habit of not launching until every item is green. That transfers to everything.

Day by day

  1. Pre-flight checklist and airspace rules
  2. First hover, first crash
  3. Programmed flight paths
  4. Precision course under time
  5. Showcase: fly the course, call the checklist aloud

Questions we get from Scurry County, TX

Are the drones safe indoors?
The training craft are small, propeller-guarded and flown in a netted or open area with a spotter.
Do kids learn the actual rules?
Yes — recreational flight rules, airspace basics and why they exist. It is the closest thing to a licence conversation a twelve-year-old will enjoy.
Do they need their own drone?
No.
